Founder- OWB Fitness
HIS STORY
He didn't start here because he had it figured out.
"I've felt what it's like to do everything right and still fall short. That experience changed how I coach."
Thomas Schnepp didn’t start Optimal Wellbeing Fitness because he had it all figured out. He started it because he spent years watching athletes — including himself — work brutally hard and still come up short. Not from lack of effort. From lack of the right system, in the right order, at the right time.
That experience changed how he coaches.
Today, Thomas works with competitive bodybuilders and physique athletes who are tired of spinning their wheels — people who are following every protocol they can find and still falling flat on comp day. He built his coaching framework around the root systems most coaches skip entirely: hormonal balance, gut health, recovery capacity, and the relationship between training intensity and the body’s actual ability to adapt.
The result is the 3-Phase OWB System — Foundation, Performance, and Refinement — a process that produces measurable progress every cycle while protecting the health markers that make a long career possible. Clients who’ve gone through it have hit the stage in the best condition of their competitive lives, including 1st Place finishes at the OCB Grand Rapids.
Thomas also brings an uncommon dimension to his coaching: years of experience working with individuals in functional health settings, including complex autoimmune cases. That background didn’t just make him a better health coach. It made him a better physique coach — one who reads the whole picture, not just the surface metrics.
He works with a small number of clients at a time. That’s by design. Every person in his program gets direct access, real feedback, and a plan built specifically for their body.
If you’ve been doing everything right and your results don’t show it, that’s not a motivation problem. It’s a systems problem. Thomas built OWB to fix it.
